Economic Development Coordinator

The Municipality of North Grenville is accepting resumes from interested and qualified candidates for the position of full-time Economic Development Coordinator.

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Post-secondary studies in Economic Development, Business, Marketing or relevant studies required
  • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years of experience in economic development, business development or marketing
  • Superior interpersonal skills combined with strong personal initiative and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment; proficient with presentation software and experience with database management; knowledge of GIS considered an asset
  • Ability to assist with the planning and implementation of economic development and job creation projects
  • Understanding of land use planning
  • Proficiency in preparing clear and concise reports, grant applications, newsletters and presentations
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to balance diverse, changing and conflicting priorities
  • Knowledge of the principles, objectives, methods and techniques of communications relevant to website and social media content
  • Demonstrate an understanding of federal and provincial government economic development programs and funding opportunities
  • Valid and in good standing Class G Driver’s License

The annual salary range for this position is $45,882 - $57,348 and is based on a 35 hour work week.  A complete job description is available here.
